OUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI STYLE
Our photographic safaris always focus on tracking wildlife, according to the experience of our guides and of the wildlife photographer who will host the group. To maximize the photographic aspects, there will never be more than two people in each row of the car, which will always be reserved for our small group. Our vehicle will always be positioned in the best way possible, thinking both about composition and light, to allow you to have great shots. We will look for interesting scenes and stick to them as long as possible, in order to make the most out of every possible interaction
A WEEK INSIGHT
Seven adventurous days of photographic safaris in Timbavati and Klaserie. We will meet at Johannesburg airport on the morning of August 15, and from there we will have a private transfer to Timbavati (about six and a half hours) and we will arrive just in time for a light lunch and for the first afternoon safari. We will spend the first three nights in this Private Game Reserve and the days will be usually set this way: alarm clock, quick breakfast, and departure before dawn for the morning game drive. Back at the camp we will have a nourishing brunch, followed by a few hours of rest or alternative activities that we will decide from time to time (basic survival bush courses , or, with an extra payment, dangerous reptiles handling). We will perform the second safari in late afternoon with return scheduled when already dark, so we could spot the first nocturnal animals. As soon as we get back we will be able to rest a little around the fire while waiting for a wonderful dinner. The length and duration of the game drives will be decided from time to time, depending on what we find. The camp will be reserved entirely for us and so flexibility will be our watchword. Same thing for the last three nights in Klaserie where we will also have the chance to opt for a night game drive instead of the afternoon ones.
Both camps are unfenced and we will choose whether to go out by car or on foot for exciting walking safaris, hosted by trained professional guides and local trackers.

TIMBAVATI & KLASERIE AND THE WHITE LIONS
Timbavati is one of the most renowned private game reserves in the world and a must-seen for all lovers of nature and photography. There are no artificial barriers between Timbavati and the adjacent Kruger National Park. This privileged wilderness area boasts the presence of the Big 5 (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and rhino), a great diversity of species of antelope, the whole range of smaller predators, more than 500 species of birds, and a huge variety of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. The reserve covers more than 18,000 hectares, which are in addition to the approximately 20 million of the Kruger. The Timbavati area is world wide famous for the presence of the legendary white lions, a case of genetic polymorphism linked to a condition of leucism. The condition is similar, although with opposite effects, to the melanism typical of Black Panthers. This is also visually confirmable from the color of their eyes, which is not red, typical of albino animals, but it is usually blue. Some of these rare specimens have recently been seen even in the Klaserie Private Reserve. Although the latter is adjacent to Timbavati, it remains one of the least known and least visited reserves of South Africa, and this makes of Klaserie a real hidden gem for connoisseurs. Even Klaserie borderes the Kruger National Park and even here all fances have been removed so that animals can roam freely. The reserve covers an area of 60,000 hectares, making it the fifth largest private game reserves in Africa.
OUR TENTED CAMPS
The two tented camps that will host us are unfenced and are located in privileged areas in the heart of the reserves.
We will have a small permanent tented camp in Timbavati, the entire camp will be at our own disposal, we will have spacious accommodations and all the comforts that we will need for a pleasant experience. There will be electricity thanks to solar panels so that we will have the opportunity to recharge the batteries of cameras.
In Klaserie, our tents/rooms are built on stilts, with wooden floors and a thatched roof, the walls are made of canvas and with a beautiful deck to enjoy a splendid view. Here, too, the solar panels provide electricity and we will have any kind of comforts.
Our destinations are approximately 6 hours and a half drive from Johannesburg, and a private transfer is included in the price.
